job hunting and phone calls

i was job hunting online while doing housework today. i remember one of my friends working in a place similar to kumon and i called her to ask about it. the pay is not bad but working conditions might differ in different locations as each branch as different owners. anyway, i decided to give it a try and put in in my KIV list of places to ask for work. she mentioned that the said place has a branch in an area near my home so i decided to go search for it before having a lunch gathering at Fruity with some of my buddies.

i went to location A but can’t seem to find it but i found Smart Reader Kids there and made a call to that branch. the owner is more interested in a finding a kindergarten teacher to teach Mandarin. She doesn’t seem keen in employing since I’ll be around for a short while so she will consider me. Oh well… It’s a try and I guess I won’t be receiving a call from her anytime soon.

I had tuna croissant and mash potatoes for lunch. Didn’t order drinks, I brought my own water. Eating is ok for me but drinking out is really expensive these days, what more with the increased government tax. I almost ordered tea and cake because there an offer to free tea with paid cake. I knew better if I want to slim down. So I decided to skip it and be content with what I already ate. Wasn’t very hungry anyway. Luckily I didn’t order cake since our lunch meet lasted about two hours, surprisingly. It used to be longer than that last time.

After I got home, I was itching to make phone calls again for job hunt. Told mom about it and given green light since the place I was keen about is not very far. I was about to cancel the call as nobody picked up the phone. Thankfully the lady owner picked it up and I got myself another interview next Wednesday evening.

I have another thing to look forward to now.

I wonder why I never this kind of serious job hunting last time. Like Mom said, I wasn’t aggressive enough. @@ Nvrm.

Going to finish another 5 pages today. IDC (I DON’T CARE)
